SOL Doom Approaching Rapidly
We have a dwindling number of class periods left until the SOL! In addition to in-class review, I will be holding review sessions the week of May 17th. I will be available after school on Mon, Wed, Thurs, and Fri from 2:20 to 3:30pm. All students are encouraged to attend. While you should already have a solid base of knowledge going into the test, I am listing several resources which will allow you additional preparation for the SOL.
Primary SOL Tools
-
SOL Review Packet
This packet provides the essential, NEED-TO-KNOW information for the SOL. It is presented in question and answer format and should be used as your primary study aid.
-
Ms. Butterfield’s Online World I Flashcards
Quiz yourself on vocabulary from each era.
-
SOL Vocabulary List
A vocabulary list of terms that you will most likely encounter on the SOL. You should be able to recognize and define these in context. Many of these terms are already on my flashcard site.
-
World I Online Self-Tests
These 10 question self-quizzes review the major points of each era and provide immediate feedback on your results. You should do the practice questions for Chapters 1-15. I suggest that you take each self-test more than once so you can re-quiz yourself on any that you got wrong. I am giving 1 extra credit point for each printed or written results page that you show me (a total of 15 possible points). I will check all of these on Thurs 5/20 and Fri 5/21.
